A Study on the Meaning of Moral Reflection and Teaching-learning Methods in Moral Education

Abstract

This study clarifies the meaning of moral reflection which moral teachers think the mostdifficult theme of Moral Education Curriculum and suggests the methods of implementation ofmoral reflection in moral education focused on the following three issues; the goal of moralreflection(why students should do moral reflection), the objects and contents of moralreflection(on what students morally reflect), and methods and attitudes of moral reflection(howstudents do moral reflection). And so, firstly, analyzes the weakness of achievement standardsof moral reflection of 2012 Revised Moral Education Curriculum and Moral Textbook in thelight of self theory, especially possible selves and time structure that is composed of past,present, future and suggests directions for improvement. Secondary, extracts related contentsfrom moral classics of confucianism such as Analects of Confucius, the Book of Mencius etc. andsuggest teaching-learning methods such as video self-reflection.
